An Acre of Rain forest

Ok so we just got done with our Hot Flat and Crowded project and my group had deforestation.  During our research we found out that you can buy an acre of Rainforest for around only 50 euros ($67)!  What do you think about this?  Here is the like for the website I found: Wold Land Trust

I think that is a really good idea, it would be cool to be able to say that you saved a part of a reainforest.

That is crazy at how cheap that is. I could buy like two whole acres of rain forest. Hah, but why are they selling it. Like, we should be preserving it for all the animals that are living there. People who are buying this land are probabaly gonna destroy it and kill the animals homes.

but if i bought it i would want it for my use not for preserves of for other organizations.,.i would wanna be able to to what i want with it!!

Ok so just to make it clear the land is bought, you put your name, or any name on it, and It becomes something like a wildlife preserve which makes it illegal to hunt on, or cut down the trees and plants. I think it also gets more protection by the brazilian environmental agencies. You don't actually get the land for your use. The money goes towards the agencies that protect the rain forests, helping them get more equipment, and people.
