How would you feel if you took your pet to the vet and they came back seeming even more damaged than before. During September, in Beaverton, Oregon, Andres Figueroa brought his dachshund puppy to the vet for a checkup. Bleu, the puppy had sustained a leg injury during the summer. He had the checkup at a clinic right outside of Portland, Oregon. When Andres cam back later that day the veterinarian had said, that Bleu tried to nip at him. Dr. Koller is the veterinarian and later did they find out what he did. Dr. Koller had grabbed the puppy by his mouth and torso so violently that the poor puppy defecated on the table. The vet then lifted him by the mouth until he was unconscious. Mr. Figueroa had taken Bleu and left; the puppy had curled up in his lap breathing shallowly. Later, the next day, Bleu had to be put down due to fluid filling his lungs.
But this wasn’t just the only case that has been reported. There have many complaints against, Dr. Koller. Mr. Koller had practiced medicine in California and Oregon off and on for 30 years. He has faced a criminal charge of animal cruelty three years after he received his license. Other customers had interviews admitting that they were concerned. Dr. Koller, had been seen beating a German Shepherd, then later they found the dog dead. There has been a case where he has frightened a puppy so bad that he urinated on the exam table. There had many more cases of animal abuse and Mr. Koller being extremely rude in general. Daniel Koller, who is 72, is facing two felony counts, first-degree aggravated animal abuse and first-degree animal abuse. Dr. Koller had to attend a court hearing in Hillsboro, Oregon last month and was then soon arrested after that.

- Should he have had a more severe punishment after his first abuse encounter?
I think he should have, he had caused a animal to die after coming in for a checkup. He should have had some jail time before he went back to work.
- Do you think he should have had his license taken away and not have gotten it back?
Yes, if he caused an animal to die and he was scaring them because they were whining. He should have had it taken away after the first cause of death.

I personally think that he should have had more punishment then what he is receiving now because he did that to many different animals because they did one simple thing wrong that wasn't big and he abused them or they ended up dead the next day due to the injuries. I think he should have never got his license in the first place if he was that mean to the animals.
Kiara, I totally agree with that. He should have had more of a punishment because of hurting so many animals. He shouldn't have abused the animals saying that his job was to help them.
yes becasue what he did was wrong and creal you the only think is is that it is nort really iligle i think. yes they should have taken his licence and never givin it back because of what he did because it is so wrong and should be illiegle and i hope dosent every happen again
Hugh, he was extermely cruel and what he was doing was very illegal. He should have had his license taken away and should have never gotten it back. He was abusing and killing animals when the purpose of his job was to help animals.
He needed to for sure have more punishment. I do not think he should still be a vet after that. Most vets want animals to be the healthiest they can be, that's mostly why they become a vet. He should get his license taken away for this definitely and not be a vet anymore.
Yes, I think he should've had a more severe punishment after his firts abuse encounter. He was hurting an animal that had done nothing wrong. Later the dog died and that should've made him have jail time. I do think that his license should have been taken away because it is not right to abuse any animals.
Alli, I argee that he should have had a more severe punishment after the first abuse of an animal. Dr. Koller was abusing and killing animals when he was supposed to be helping them. He should have thought twice about going into this job profession or he should have gotten help if he needed it.
I think he definetely should have had a worse punishment because he is causing that persons pet to be more damaged leaving. I also think that he should have had his license taken away for a short amount of time or until he goes back and retakes vet school.
I agree with you, i think we should have, what if he did this to more animals. I woulda tried to sue him if he did that to my to my dog. I think he should get his job taken away from him so he doesnt do this again.
I 100% agree that this man should not have his license and should never be able to practice or have any other job with any involvement with animals. I also agree that legal pursuit is a solid idea and I would do the same if he hurt any of my animals.
