How would you feel if you took your pet to the vet and they came back seeming even more damaged than before. During September, in Beaverton, Oregon, Andres Figueroa brought his dachshund puppy to the vet for a checkup. Bleu, the puppy had sustained a leg injury during the summer. He had the checkup at a clinic right outside of Portland, Oregon. When Andres cam back later that day the veterinarian had said, that Bleu tried to nip at him. Dr. Koller is the veterinarian and later did they find out what he did. Dr. Koller had grabbed the puppy by his mouth and torso so violently that the poor puppy defecated on the table. The vet then lifted him by the mouth until he was unconscious. Mr. Figueroa had taken Bleu and left; the puppy had curled up in his lap breathing shallowly. Later, the next day, Bleu had to be put down due to fluid filling his lungs.
But this wasn’t just the only case that has been reported. There have many complaints against, Dr. Koller. Mr. Koller had practiced medicine in California and Oregon off and on for 30 years. He has faced a criminal charge of animal cruelty three years after he received his license. Other customers had interviews admitting that they were concerned. Dr. Koller, had been seen beating a German Shepherd, then later they found the dog dead. There has been a case where he has frightened a puppy so bad that he urinated on the exam table. There had many more cases of animal abuse and Mr. Koller being extremely rude in general. Daniel Koller, who is 72, is facing two felony counts, first-degree aggravated animal abuse and first-degree animal abuse. Dr. Koller had to attend a court hearing in Hillsboro, Oregon last month and was then soon arrested after that.

- Should he have had a more severe punishment after his first abuse encounter?
I think he should have, he had caused a animal to die after coming in for a checkup. He should have had some jail time before he went back to work.
- Do you think he should have had his license taken away and not have gotten it back?
Yes, if he caused an animal to die and he was scaring them because they were whining. He should have had it taken away after the first cause of death.

yes i think he shoul dbe charged with womething for animal cruelity and for picking a dog up by his mouth and then the owners have to put it down. also him killing a german shepard, yes i think it shall get taken away for killing animals and for scaring the dog ad making it pee.
Yes, I think he should have had a more severe punishment after his first encounter what he did was not right and I agree that he should have had some jail time. I think he should have lost his license the first time for what he did, he had a dog put down because he abused him.
Yes. If I had to take my dog somewhere and I lived in Oregan, I would not see Dr. Koller. He kills animals that need help. If an animal needs help you help them not harm them even more. If my dog died after seeing this veterinarian, I would sue. My dog is like my best friend, and if he died I would never be the same. If this veterinarian got his licence taken away he should not have gotten it back. He killed multiple animals and it is not right.
Jessalyn, I agree with you to. If he has been harming animals and has been caught killing animals he should be punished. Our dog is part of the family, so I would be devestated if Dr. Koller had killed my dog.
I think he should of had a more severe punishment. Abusing animals is never okay. This vet didn't pay for the animal, and he isn't getting paid to hurt them. He's getting paid to take care of them. He should have more jail time and should have had his license taken away.
I think that somebody should definitely take away the license of somebody who is abusing animals purely for the safety of animals they could potentially have contact with.
Jacob think you are right. He should have had his license stripped when the first animal was killed. He shouldn't have been had that kind of job if he didn't like socializing with people or working with animals.
I think he should've had a more severe punishment after his first time, because if he really caused an animal to die he should have had his license suspended or something. Yes, they should have taken his license away once they found out what he was doing to the animals.
I agree with you Richard. He definately should have had a more severe punishment due to killing so many animals. His job was to help them not to harm them even more.
I agree that he should be punished more, abusing in any form or to any extent is intentional and should not be tolerated what so ever. The man in question should never be able to practice again and should have his license permanently revoked.
