How would you feel if you took your pet to the vet and they came back seeming even more damaged than before. During September, in Beaverton, Oregon, Andres Figueroa brought his dachshund puppy to the vet for a checkup. Bleu, the puppy had sustained a leg injury during the summer. He had the checkup at a clinic right outside of Portland, Oregon. When Andres cam back later that day the veterinarian had said, that Bleu tried to nip at him. Dr. Koller is the veterinarian and later did they find out what he did. Dr. Koller had grabbed the puppy by his mouth and torso so violently that the poor puppy defecated on the table. The vet then lifted him by the mouth until he was unconscious. Mr. Figueroa had taken Bleu and left; the puppy had curled up in his lap breathing shallowly. Later, the next day, Bleu had to be put down due to fluid filling his lungs.
But this wasn’t just the only case that has been reported. There have many complaints against, Dr. Koller. Mr. Koller had practiced medicine in California and Oregon off and on for 30 years. He has faced a criminal charge of animal cruelty three years after he received his license. Other customers had interviews admitting that they were concerned. Dr. Koller, had been seen beating a German Shepherd, then later they found the dog dead. There has been a case where he has frightened a puppy so bad that he urinated on the exam table. There had many more cases of animal abuse and Mr. Koller being extremely rude in general. Daniel Koller, who is 72, is facing two felony counts, first-degree aggravated animal abuse and first-degree animal abuse. Dr. Koller had to attend a court hearing in Hillsboro, Oregon last month and was then soon arrested after that.

- Should he have had a more severe punishment after his first abuse encounter?
I think he should have, he had caused a animal to die after coming in for a checkup. He should have had some jail time before he went back to work.
- Do you think he should have had his license taken away and not have gotten it back?
Yes, if he caused an animal to die and he was scaring them because they were whining. He should have had it taken away after the first cause of death.

I think that this Vetrinarian should have been punished way mroe than what thye were. It is not okay to abuse people let alone animals. I think this Vet should have been fined heavily and had to serve time in a Jail or Prison because animals don't deserve to be abused.
Will I agree that he should have had a bgger punishment because of his actions. What he did was very wrong and he should have had his license revoked immediately.
I think he should have had more severe punishments after his first abuse encounter because he shouldn't have even still had his license after that. I do think he should have had his license taken away because no vet should still be employed after hurting an animal.
This is just absolutely sickening. I have a very strong love for animals and this hurts my heart. I could never imagine hitting an animal let alone causing it life threatening harm like this former doctor did. I think this is almost as bad as murder, so I think he should get some very severe punishment. As for his license I 100% think that he should lose his license forever, that way he can never hurt an animal like that again. This just makes me so sad and I feel for the owners of these pets.
Avery I definatly think that he should have had a more severe punishment. He was supposed to be helping people by helping the pets. Most people had strong bonds with there pets and wouldn't want them getting abused.
I believe he should have gotten his license taken away and bigger punishment. I think he should get an animals cruelty fine. Hurting animals is a horrible thing to do. The owners of these animals are feeling great sadness. I feel he should get a bigger fine, becasue they died.
I think he should have a severe punishment for it. He had killed someones pet, and abused an animal. I also think he should have his liscensed revoked and never be able to be a Veterinarian again, because he could harm other peoples pets as well.
I think he deserves no mercy, frankly. But due to the law, getting mauled to death by dogs is illegal as a punishment. I think he got what he deserved under the law, but I think punishment could be harsher. He should have been immediately stripped of his license and not been given it back.
i dont know how he could have even got a job dealing with animals if he could do something like this in the first place. also i think that if you get charged with animal abuse ones you should lose your lisense but i think you should be able to get back from testing and work for it but after the second offence i think then you should have jail time am big fine and not able to get the lisense back ever again.
Jameson I totally agree. I don't know how he could live with himself knowing that he was hurting and them killing animals. If he had a mental illness he should have gotten gelp. Dr. Koller was supposed to be helping the animals but instead he was harming them even more.
