Dick Clark was the awesome guy that brought rock ‘n’ roll to television on American Bandstand and he also produced and hosted a vast range of programming to the year- end countdown from Times Square. Spokesman Paul Shefrin said Clark had a heart attack Wednesday morning at Saint John’s hospital in Santa Monica. He suffered a stroke in 2004 which affected his ability to speak and walk He did not look like he was 82.
