Amazon is now one of the most well known companies in the world now. It mainly focuses on e-commerce, or online shopping and the shipping of items sold. On Amazon’s online shopping website, you can purchase anything from clothes, phones, medicine, and even groceries. Amazon also does online streaming with Amazon Prime Video. The company is fairly new, only being founded in 1994, and it has been growing larger and larger ever since. It may have had humble beginnings, but now the company makes billions of dollars every year.
Everyone can agree that Amazon’s success is astounding, and with the coronavirus, more and more people are shopping online to avoid possible contamination while shopping in person. With more people at home in these times, more people are using Prime Video to spend their time. Many people are very happy that Amazon offers a wide array of products and services, but it is concerning to others. Some people think that Amazon is growing too big, and could monopolize many of their services. The extensive growth and success of Amazon could lead to many smaller companies to become obsolete due to Amazon.
What do you think about Amazon? Do you think it’s good that they have been growing and continue to grow? Do you think Amazon is a threat to other companies and businesses?

I think that its good that they've been growing, but yes I'm sure it could become a threat to other businesses just because they sell so many items, there wouldn't be a reason to go to any other store.
I personaly love amazon it makes shopping so muchh easier. I don't think amazon is a threat to other companies cause there are products that you can't find on amazon and youd have to go to the store to fins it, but if push comes to shove other campanies should team up with amazon so they don't have to worry.
It is a possiblity that smaller businesses that may be threatened by Amazon's growth could partner with Amazon in one way or another, but it might not work out. Amazon may reject their offer to partner, or Amazon may end up taking much of the smaller company's profits.
I think it's good that they are growing. If they can continue to open and offer other services then let them. I'm assuming that once people get tired of seeing amazon like they did with fedex, and netflix. There will be a new company out there ready to take over.
Amazon is a great site, I use it very often. It helps with getting things in smaller areas where some idems are harder to come across. It's also very easy access and everything is easy to find. I have a problem with the creator (No one needs that much money) but the site itself is very handy. I think instead of focusing on getting bigger, they should start focusing on bettering themselves more. It's big enough as is, so why not just work more on quality?
I agree, in small towns like Harlan, you might have to drive over an hour just to find an item you're looking for, but Amazon fixes that problem. And it could be a good idea for Amazon to work on quality not quantity. Instead of branching out into more areas, Amazon could just better their delivery service, or make new original shows for Prime Video.
I think Amazon is a good online store because they have good quality items and they have fast shipping. I think that they have been growing over the years and I think they will keep growing. I think that Amazon is a threat to other businesses because they are doing really good right now.
I think Amazon is good especially in quarintine. It's good that they have been growing because we don't have to get exposed at all to the Coronavirus. I do think that Amazon is a threat to other companies and businesses because they are doing what others are but way better.
With the coronavirus, Amazon has helped many people stay safe and social distance while still being able to get essential supplies. The way they have been doing their business is very efficient and is clearly why they are how successful they are now. Yet many people still love to go shopping in smaller, local businesses with friends to spend the day.
I think Amazon is to big but I dont blame them. If they were to get any bigger it would possibly be considered a monoply. its hard to think of something that Amazon hasnt dipped their massive finger into. Amazon is a threat to every company but also it helps boost smaller companys a ton.
