A 3-foot long Alligator was found in a pond right behind Bedford Junior High School in Michigan. The Alligator was spotted by a teacher and called for the alligator to be taken out of the pond . The pond is called the biology pond and is used by middle and high school biology students. It was determined that the alligator , not native to Michigan, was either let loose or got loose and was most likely a pet of someone living nearby. It took 3 hours to drain the pond to get the gator out, just in time for their Homecoming football game. For more information click here
1.What would you do if there was an alligator living behind your school?
I would not come to school until the gator was captured.
2. Do you think they should have left the alligator there instead of moving it?
Definatly not because it could kill someone.

Overall, your summary is brief. Your questions could be stronger. A sign of that issue are your own personal thoughts which are very brief. You also replied on one day instead of three.
I'd likely just be pretty intrigued by the alligator and try to see it from a safe distance. I definitely think they should have moved it because otherwise the alligator has the chance to harm children and other people nearby, I believe its a good story to hear about though and could be told about the pond.
I would not be very concerned, alligators are ususally 10+ feet long, so, in my opinion, a 3 foot alligator is nothing to be worried about. I wouldn't have left the alligator there, because, even though it is very small, it still has the potential to harm someone.
I definantly think they did the right thing to drain it and move it. They probably could of got it the alligator out without draining the pond but i think it was a good safety precaution to drain it and not try to kill it then grab it. Also, if the alligator would of game out could of grabbed weak and defenseless children.
I agree, I wouldn't want to come to school either because what if it came out and started getting closer to the school. The school would have to go into a lock down or lock out or something to keep the kids safe. Also, you said the school uses it that would of been crazy if they were going to use it and the alligator came out.
If there was an aligator in the back of my school i would tell the school to hire someone to get it out, i definitly dont think they shouldve left it in the pond because its just going to grow and end up hurting someone or something. Also if someone doesnt know the aligator was in there and they got close to the pond the aligator could easily eat them.
That makes sense because you don't want the kids to get eaten.
I would want to go outside and look at the alligator and I would want to watch them drain it and get the alligator out. I think it was a good idea to remove the alligator just because a lot of kids are around the pond and It wouldn’t be safe.
I wonder if when they drain the pond, if they could refill it because there is more than just an alligator in the pond.
I wouldn't be too scared becasue they don't do any harm unless you do somthing so as long as people stay away until the animal control gets in taken care of. It is a good thing that they did move it because somthing could of happened to a kid that was there and the parents would sue the school.
