The story of Alec Baldwin is quite interesting, but strange at the same time. While some people claim it was an accident, others are finding it hard to believe that something like this could happen on a professional movie set. To begin, the story that the media is putting out to the public is that Baldwin was practicing a stunt when he was handed a loaded gun by the prop manager and it was supposed to be blank rounds. He then pointed the barrel of the gun at the camera and fired the shot. A woman was fatally shot and another wounded. Those are the facts of the story.
Supporters of Baldwin are claiming that actors should be able to trust those hired to oversee details with live action rounds and blank ammunition without having to worry about what could possibly happen. While others are wanting Baldwin to face charges for negligent behavior. Baldwin is a very anti-gun voice in Hollywood and has used his platform to condem organizations such as the N.R.A. Sadly, however, this is not the first time a fatal accident has happened on a movie set with a loaded gun. In 1993 while shooting a movie, 28 year old Brandon Lee was killed from a “projectile” that came from a gun. While the details of Brandon Lee’s death were kept very secretive and the identity of the actor who fired the gun was never released.
The bottom line is that a woman is dead and another wounded by Baldwin. While I feel that Mr. Baldwin should not be held liable for the purposeful death of this woman, there is a part of me that would like to see all professionals that need to handle a gun have to take a simple gun safety course.
What are your personal opinions about this incident?
What changes do you think need to take place?

I agree with you because they have a certain person that is supposed to know everything about the props and should have let Alec know there was a bullet.
I think that the people on that set were very irresponsible and should be held accountable for their actions. Whether that be having to take a gun safety course or even not being able to work on set with guns or at all. I have seen some post about backlash that Baldwin has been getting over dressing up for halloween. I don't understand why people were angry over this. He clearly stated he got in touch with the victims family and personally apologized despite it being a freak accident. Yes it was a tragic occurence but he is a famous actor with people who are telling him what to do and when to do it. Don't blame Balwin, blame the people in charge of him and that movie set.
I feel that if that gun was loaded he should have been warned so he was not shooting straight at someone, no gun should have been given to him unless someone told him that it was loaded.
Changes that need to take place- more safety percautions need to be put on the sets.
I think that this was an accident, I don't think he actually shot him on person. I think that they should've for sure checked everything out before they started filming. I think its werid that there was a bullet in the gun though. They should've bee more careful with there props.
I agree with you Alec shouldn't be worried about having a bullet in a gun during acting but, this is on the armorer as he should have checked over everything as it is a real gun.
I think that this was a tragic accident, and not done on purpose. From Alec Baldwin's reaction to the whole incident, I don't think that he would've done such a thing. I don't know if the prop manager or somebody else on set was involved, but it could be possible.
I think that Alec Baldwin should not be charged at all. He was given the gun by a professional that checks the gun and makes sure it's safe. Alec was on the set doing his job, acting. He isn't being paid to check the guns. I think it is very stupid how so many people are blaming Baldwin.
I agree with you because he shouldn't have to look over everything since he is one of the main characters he has more importatnt things to do. Therefore the armorer should be fired or something as he didn't check the gun.
In my opinion it was an accident. This is a clear example of why you should not provide guns to everyone. Guns are made for killing, after all. He has to go to jail but the punishment should be lowered since he had no idea about guns and he wasn't on purpose.
I disagree with you because it was an accident and it isn't his responsibility to check all the equipment.
