Ageing Santa gets $100,000 facelift for Christmas

A Santa in New Zealand with a droopy eye has received a NZ$100,000 ($74,000) face-lift in the run-up to Christmas so that his aging face does not scare children.

Why don't they just get a new Santa? What would happen if a kid sat on Santa's lap then Santa dies and the kid pulls off his beard and Christmas is ruined for EVERYBODY. Maybe this old guy just likes to be Santa to make kids happy. Anyways they just need a new one.
