A teen from the US ranaway from home about a year ago and was mistaken for a Columbian national, only because she lacked identification. What I don't understand is why they would send a 15-year-old to Columbia thinking that she was a Columbian national when she couldn't speak a word of Spanish! Her family found her a year later.Read the article!http://www.cnn.com/2012/01/05/us/texas-colombia-teen/index.html?hpt=hp_bn1

  • not that i started a forum of this exact same thing yesterday or anything...
  • I find it kind of funny its her own fault she got sent there. She lied to people.
  • This is terrible.... i would be so scared! So was she in Columbia for a whole year then? And living with total strangers... scary!
  • I hope they feel like idiots. I would sue them or something.
  • oh wow, how could you do this with out putting together the facts
  • OMG that's like bad parenting 101...isn't it? Couldn't those parents get their child taken away from them. If I was one of her parents I would sue the people who sent her there.

  • This proves that trust is not something everybody has anymore. They really should've known that this person wasn't Columbian....kind of sad.

  • Oh my goodness! How could the government let something like this happen? That's insane! I bet whoever was in charge of that got fired!
