the woman discovered that her handbag containing 2,000 dollars cash a mobile phone a pendant with a diamond worth 12,000 dollars and other valuables had disappearedA thief in Spain who stole a diamond from a British woman and then swallowed it was caught when police stopped him at a checkpoint and forced him to undergo an X-ray..why would you swallow a diamond in the first palce

This is pretty ridiculous. I also agree with you, how would you even manage to swallow a diamond in the first place? Pretty weird.

I think he swallowed it because he thought it was digest into smaller pieces and be able to come out the other end. I dont think that woman should have been carrying 2000 dollars on her when she lived in Spain somewhere where you can get away with a lot of things. The guy who stole the diamond might have been stupid but he also might have needed the money so he stole the diamond, you have to go through a lot of things if you have a family and you wanna take care of them.

Ow. People these days are desperate to get money and they will do anything they can, even it that's swallowing a diamond. Why they would, I don't know.

first off why would you have 2,000 dollars in your purse? And i can't beleive that he swallowed it and then got caught in an x-ray. It's kind of funny!

Thats pretty sweet that she got all of it back. But also why would she have all of that stuff worth that much money just sitting in her purse. Also wouldn't that hurt swolling something like that?
