In Carlsdad, California Jim Grant was driving during a normal day when he saw a fork in the road. And when I say he saw a "fork" in the road, I mean it! The fork was 6 feet tall, painted silver, made out of wood, and put into the intersection. The fine piece of art however was taken out because it is not legal or safe. Nobody knows who the artist is.

I understand the safety issue, but it's a really cool fork. I think they should pay him and put it up somewhere else.
They should have left it there! How is it dangerous? They have big metal poles with signed on them all over the place, why can't they have a wooden fork?
That's pretty funny. An artist with a sense of humor. I wonder what other kind of art could show up there in the future.
Well, that's pretty creative, I would have kept it.. It's pretty cool looking and makes sense.
I think this is funny! It'd make me laugh if I drove by it. Its just sorta goofy I guess. I'm sure the person that put it there did just to make people laugh.
thats funny. I've seen things like that, when people get bored...they creative. and find things to do like this. In a corn field over by story city, there are two giant wood cut outs of giraffes coming out of the corn field. Its funny!
This is funny. My guess it is probably a prank by someone just to be funny and to get noticed.
I think that this is really clever. I mean, it is kind of ironic. I think it is creative, and really cool! I disagree with it being a distracion. Bright blinking red lights are a disraction if you think about it. It's a percausion thing though. If it would distract you, don't look at it. It's not in the way. I think it's a bummer they took it down. Bravo to the artist!
Is it that big of a deal that someone put a fork in the road. I think they should have kept it there.
Creative! It's awesome how some people have a sense of humor like that, that's cool though!
