A extremely rare yellow cardinal was found in Florida

The cardinal was found in Port St. Lucie, Florida. there is not a percent how many yellow cardinal there are seen every year. the chances of seeing a yellow one is one in a million. the bird was seen on Wednesday October 14, 2019. Tracy Workman took a cuple pictures of this bird. and she sdid:

"My first thought as the yellow thing fluttered out of the bush by my front door was, 'Did I just see a yellow cardinal? There's no way!'" she told CNN.

A rare bird needed a name so they named it "sunny" the flying friend. "the obvious name for the only yellow cardinal reported in Florida."

"Sunny" may be rare but he has Workman's back yard to explore.

  • I'm glad you got this done Reed.  Be sure to inlcude personal thoughts within your summary and also be sure to reply back to student comments as it is worth 20 points.

  • i would think cool but i dont care that much about birds so i wouldn't care as much as a bird specialist. i have not and i dought i will because thay might be more common down south.

  • If I saw one I would proebelly be shocked by what I found and by the color of its fur and I would take a picture just in case I never get the chance to see one again. No I have never seen a yellow cardinal in my entire life

  • I don't think that I would be able to spot it and see that it was indeed a yelllow cardinal but if I did notice I don't think it would be very cool. I would probably just admire it and maybe take a picture depending on if it sits still or not. I have never seen a yellow cardinal to my knowledge.

  • I would be fascinated because with bright colors I feel like my eyes would be drawn to it. I think I would be very excited to see one. I have never seen one in real life but I have looked them up for a project in prior years since they are so rare.

  • I would be so interested and I'll would be observing it because it nice looking bird. I wouldn't really be over excited but still excited to see it.

  • No, I've never seen a yellow cardinal before but it would be  very cool if I did see one because i know that not many people on this planet has seen a yellow cardinal. I'd try to feed it and make sure it doesn't die because It would be very bad if a bird so rare died because of a lack in food.

  • I  would think it was pretty cool and I would try to take a photo of it because i know that they are rare. Also no I have nt seen a yellow cardinal before because like you said they are very rare and I dont even see a red carinal all that often either.

  • If I saw a yellow cardinal flying around, I wouldn't really care that much because I do not care about birds that much. I would have just thought it was a regular yellow bird. I also have not ever seen a yellow cardinal before because they are so rare.

  • If I saw a yellow cardinal flying around I would be very surprised because I've never seen one before. Then I would tell my mom because she knows a lot of different kinds of birds. No I have never seen a yellow cardinal maybe by accident and didn't what it was but not that I can think of.
