On April 3, 2000 two teens went missing in Sparta, Tennessee after never returning home from a party in White County. These teens' names were Erin Foster and Jeremy Bechtel. Erin's brother was the last to see the pair alive earlier that day. The families reported the teens missing after 1 week of them being gone. The police had many leads but they all led to nothing. Some leads even pointed to the teens being murdered.
After the teens' case has been cold for 21 years a scuba diver has found their car they were last seen in. The scuba diver who had found the car was Jeremy Slides. The sheriff had pointed out an area for Jeremy Slides to look in the Calfkiller river for their car. Sure enough Jeremy Slides had found the car with human remains in it. The car’s license plate indicated that the car was in fact Erin Fosters. The human remains are being tested to clarify if they are the remains of the teens.
Jeremy Slides is a very popular youtuber. Slides tries solving cold cases all over the US. He uses sonar technology to solve the cold cases. His youtube channel is called Exploring with Nug. He had tried once before and failed to find the teens car in november. Slides had not told anyone that he had gone looking. After Sheriff Page saw the video of Slides's first attempt he saw that Slides had better equipment than the police did so that is why Slides was asked to come back.

The police had less advanced technology compared to Jeremy Slides.
I believ this can give closure to any bodie wondering what happened to these two individuals
I think that's cravy that this Youtuber Jeremy Slides found the car of the teens in the river 21 years later. It's a very good thing that he found the car so the families of these teens can have closure on what happened and not have to wonder everyday about it.
I'm glad they their families are finally able to get closure and know what happened to those teens. I do find it sad about how they died. I'm glad someone has finally found their remains and now we all know what happened to them. I'm sure it's heartbreaking for their families to know they're dead, but at least now they know what happened.
I think that is weird that the youtube Jeremy Slides found two missing people and the authorities couldn't. But do wonder what lead him to where he found them that didn't lead the cops there. Like what were they missing? Or if he was just scuba diving or whatever he was doing and he just found them.
I think it is crazy that they would just stop looking for two teens. It crazy that they were found by a youtuber and not a someone whose in the police force. I wonder how they ended up at the bottom of a river anf why they didnt try getting out of the car while it was sinking.
I think this really shows that the police choose and pick which cases to work hard on, If they really wanted to find those teens they would have. It's ironic that Jeremy Slides, a youtuber, had better equipment than the police. He also had motivation. The police need to do better.
i thinks it is an interesting case because they were found.i think it was crazy that they were found by someone on youtube especially
I think that this case is interesting because their disapperence could have been caused by many things. Like you said, they could've been murder by someone or someone could've tampered with their car causing them to drive into the river. However, they could've just been drunk driving and crashed.
I think the case is crazy because people just sort of give up on looking after awhile. I think it's great that this guy continues to get to the bottom of cases. He obviously went harder than the police. It's very sad how long it took to find out what happened to the teens.
