A 125 ft long slide that links two streets in a southern spanish town had been closed the day after it had been open. Residents have reported many suffering injuries from the slide in Estepona on the Costa del Sol, which was initially designed to save people from a 10 minute walk. Videos have been posted on social media which showed people hurtling down the slide and flying off at the end. Many people have been complaining about thier injuries to the council, but the council states that they were riding the slide improperly. Riders of the slide are supposed to ride on their bottom rather than lying down on theirr stomachs. Lying down on the slide could cause uncontrollable speed which causes riders to fly out at the end.

1. Do you believe that the injuries were caused by people misproperly riding the slide, or by faulty design?
- I Believe that this can go hand and hand. Some people are crazy and will do whatever they want. Although proper engineers could of desinged the slide to prevent any injuries.
2. Would you ride this slide to save ten minutes of walking after it is opened back up again?
- I would probably try it out if it is fixed, but still ten minutes of walking is better than potentially being injured.

Good overall but be sure to reply more frequently. -5 late
I believe that the injuries could have happened either way. I think that it would be more common to get an injury if the person was riding misproperly though. I would probably try it out or ask others how they think it is.
I doubt the slide was very well-constructed based on the picture, but people can also make bad decisions. I think it is the rider's responsibility to determine if everything is safe before getting on the slide. I would try out the slide the "proper" if I had the opportunity.
heck yeah i would giver the full send. i would so much rather rather risk it on a slide then a have a ten miute walk. screw the walk the slide would be way more fun and time saving.
I think a half send would probably be better the first time, and if you think it's alright full send it the next time. I definitely agree that a slide would be more fun than having to walk for ten minutes, as long as the slide goes the same place you want to go.
i think that it could be reason with like arrow dynamics and what not. laying down does make for faster speeds. but people could also be purpusfully injuring themsleves to sew and get money.
I feel like it might have been a little of both because it does look like there are some sudden turn but some people might be trying to go down it faster or with other people sand just run into eachother. I would try it out just to see what it' like but then just walk most of the time.
I think that it was probably people not sliding down the correct way, if you have ever rode on a slide you know that going on your butt is much easier to control then going on your back or stomachs. I would definetly take the slide, not only would it save time, but it would be a super fun way to get to the next street.
I agree, it is common knowledge that if you ride a slide on your stomach it usually hurts more when things go wrong than when you ride it the correct it. Like I said earlier, I would give it a half send the first to make sure everything is a-OK.
I think that the injuries were mostly caused by a bad design and the slide was a really bad idea in the first place. I would not ride the slide because it seems too risky because you could pick up too much speed on a slide that big and it doesn't seem too stable in that picture.
