Odell Beckham and 95 Million Dollars

Just recently Odell Beckham agreeded to a 95 Million dollar contract with the NY Giants. Beckham is guarenteed 65 Million Dollars and 20 Million Dollar average the first three years. Beckham contract just tremendously passed up all of the other recievers contracts in the NFL. Odell is now the highest paid reciever. Odell didn't only earn the money because of what he does on the field and during a game, he earned the money in many other ways. Beckham has been said that he has the best attitude and positivity during practice and during last summers camp. Beckhams teammates see him as a leader and are always looking up to him. Also there has been a lot of drama going on in the NFL. An example is people have hanged up during radio talk shows because they don't want to answer a question about their personal life. Beckham hasn't been involved in any of that and thats another reason why they feel he deserves this new contract. In conclusion Odell Beckham is now the highest paid reciever in the NFL and he has earned it on and off the field.

Questions.....

If you were averaging about 20 Million dollars a year what would you spend your money on and why?  I would buy a super car because I love cars and getting a dream car of mine would be awesome.

Do you think that one athlete is worth 95 million dollars and if so why?

95 Million dollars is a lot I don't think a reciever is worth that much I would rather save the money for a more important player that might do more for the team.

  • I wouldn't spend a very big amount of the money if I had it. You never know what's going to happen in your life and having the extra money to help with any situation would be nice to fall back on. 95 million is a lot to pay for one athlete, but Odell also makes the Giants money through his jersey sales and they way he preforms on the field. I think him getting this contract will affect other receivers in the NFL who are as good as or close to as good as Odell because they will also want large contracts from their teams.

  • I honestly don't know what i would do if I had 20 million dollars just laying around. I would probably end up helping out my family with it and donating it because I wouldn't need that much money. I don't think any athlete should be paid that much, they do work hard but they are different jobs out there that should be getting paid way more.

    • I agree 90 Million dollars is a ton of money and honestly donating to something would be a  good idea or trying to help out a community by you would be a good idea.

  • I would make sure all of my bills are paid off and have saved a lot of money. I would take care of my family and friends with money. I don't think any athlete is worth that much money because that's way too much money to put on someone's career. Military and doctors don't even get that much and they are way more important than a football player who doesn't help this world out with problems.

    • Thats a good point a lot of this money could be going to our military and doctors but instead it is going to Football players. Im sure there are some football players that have helped out and donated to some hospitals or military people in need.

  • I dont think that Odell should make that much money. He still needs to show that he is an elite wide reciever like Antonio Brown because he is still in 4th year and still needs to show that he can make that type of money. I think thats to much for a wide reciever it should be less.

    • I agree Odell hasn't been in the league for that long and 4 years isn't really that much time to decide if he is an elite football player. Some poeple may even say that Odell is overrated and shouldn't be making that much. Honestly I think that he is making to much and he should be making more.

  • I woulc dontate some but with a lot of the other money I would do what the other atletes have been doing and use my money to help stay at peak performance.

I do not actually think they are worth that much but some players do help the team make money.
