Devastating Storms unleashed late Friday night and early Saturday morning across central and southern parts of the country. These storms ravished states such as Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi. It’s reported more than 30 tornadoes were moved across the affected states. Causing hundreds dead and millions worth of damage. Many governors of the affected states have sent letters to President Joe Biden seeking federal recovery funds. Biden hasn't had time for a response in full, but is quoted, "in touch with state and local officials as the search for survivors and damage assessments continue.”
This disaster was declared as a state of emergency in Kentucky with the Governor even reporting that the death toll will surpass 80 as bodies are still being recovered. Particularly in Mayfield Kentucky where 110 workers were inside a candle factory when crushing winds collapsed the building to rubble. In the Nashville International airport, it is reported that winds reached a record-breaking 78 mph. These winds have left nearly 30,000 residents without power in the Nashville area.
In my opinion, I believe that this disaster was the worst storm of 2021. I also think that the United States government should send money, supplies, and workers to help clean up the ruble. I think the sooner help is sent to these affected states than the quicker we fix and focus on other problems in the United States. I believe this storm will affect America's economy and infrastructure in the central and southern United States for lots of time to follow.
Questions:
1. Do you think enough is being done to help the affected states?
2. In general, What are your thoughts about these storms?

There is never enough being done to help those in need. These storms were devestating and destroyed so many people's lives. This on top of covid is such a huge setback for the US. These people in need will probably get some help but not enough. It's a sad world
I agree with you, I agree that there is never enough to help those in need. I also agree that we live in a very sad world.
In my opinion there is not enough being done to help the affected states. Its so crazy to think that the president basically has them on stand-by... And my opinion about these types of storms is that you obviously cant prevent them but you can help people recover from it.
I agree that more should be done to help those affected by the ravishing storms. I also agree that the president shouldn't have the affected on standby.
These storms are most likely oen of the worst i have ever heard of. Something worse than just one tornado is haveing 30 tornadoes. One of them can do enough damege and potentionaly kill hundered but 30 can do who knows how much damege. But i dont know if we are doing enough to help them. The best we can do is send recorses and money and maybe some people to help rebuild and check for servivores.
I agree that hearing of 30 tornados at once is rare and extremely dangerous. I agree that money and supplies should be shipped to the affected areas.
I think that the government should definitely help these states. I also think that this disaster will affect the states for a long time, especially if they aren't really getting any help from the government.
I agree that until the United States Government decides to help those affected by the storms this disaster will only drag on.
I think the government should do a little more to help those states and now that more states were added to the list they should send more reinforcements to those places sadly affected by the storms and tornadoes people should be more aware of the weather conditions in their area.
I agree that more could be done to help the communities and people affected by the monstrous storms.
