Devastating Storms unleashed late Friday night and early Saturday morning across central and southern parts of the country. These storms ravished states such as Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi. It’s reported more than 30 tornadoes were moved across the affected states. Causing hundreds dead and millions worth of damage. Many governors of the affected states have sent letters to President Joe Biden seeking federal recovery funds. Biden hasn't had time for a response in full, but is quoted, "in touch with state and local officials as the search for survivors and damage assessments continue.”
This disaster was declared as a state of emergency in Kentucky with the Governor even reporting that the death toll will surpass 80 as bodies are still being recovered. Particularly in Mayfield Kentucky where 110 workers were inside a candle factory when crushing winds collapsed the building to rubble. In the Nashville International airport, it is reported that winds reached a record-breaking 78 mph. These winds have left nearly 30,000 residents without power in the Nashville area.
In my opinion, I believe that this disaster was the worst storm of 2021. I also think that the United States government should send money, supplies, and workers to help clean up the ruble. I think the sooner help is sent to these affected states than the quicker we fix and focus on other problems in the United States. I believe this storm will affect America's economy and infrastructure in the central and southern United States for lots of time to follow.
Questions:
1. Do you think enough is being done to help the affected states?
2. In general, What are your thoughts about these storms?

I don't think they could realistically do a better job helping people, they are doing everything they can. The situation they are in is very disheartening and unfair. In my opinion, we should put more money into preventing tragities by improving technology to help get more awareness out and to be able to detect things sooner.
I think that they are trying to do their best to help people and help everyone that they can. I think they are doing everything they can. The storms are a very bad situation for everyone involved. I don't know much about what we could to to prepare for these storms.
I think that they should keep doing what they can and helping find people and get people to a place where they can stay till they figure out what needs to be fixed or just destroyed. I wish we had better technology to tell us where the tornadoes are going to go even though we knew that they were going to happen people just didnt know where.
I agree that we need to figure out what supplies are needed in the affected areas so that we can get these supplies and help the broken communities.
I think they are trying and doing there best to help and protect everyone, and doing everything they can right now. I think that the whole situation is very unfortunate, and would suck to be in that position. I think it would be very scary .
I think that this storm was very severe, and they definitely need more help to recover bodies, treat the injured, and repair the damages. I think that there isn't much we can do to prevent these types of storms, but they can prepare for them with stronger buildings in areas where tornadoes are common.
I agree that we need to quickly help the injured and move supplies to the affected areas such as Kentucky. I also agree that in the future buildings should be made stronger to possibly withstand the power of a tornado.
I think the states they are affected should be of course careful but also the other states should watch out and be prepered. I think they can be very horrible and can make a lot of damage.
I think that the people are doing everything they can to help the victims of this storm, and the efforts should be kept up. It's very depressing to see all these people affected by such a storm cell taking out their homes and property, but nature does it's own thing, so we can't do anything about that.
I agree that efforts to help those affected by the storms should not be stopped until the job is complete.
