Dory, a pint sized Jack Russell Terrier, wandered into a lion enclosure with her owner on September 16th, right in time to feed the cubs. This little puppy decided that she would claim the food as hers. The baby cubs tried to get to their lunch but only received a nip on the nose. At the end of the video she started chasing the young lion who was four times her size. Luckily Dory walked out of the exhibit untouched and unharmed.

Questions
1. Do you think that letting the dog into the lion exhibit was harmless? Why or why not?
2. Why do you think the lions didn't harm Dory?
My Opinion
1. I don't think that it is harmless it could have seriously hurt the person filming it or the dog.
2. I think that they didn't feel threatened by her because she was so much smaller.

Good overall! Be sure to hyperlink correctly and I do think you could have replied to student comments a bit more as well.
I think letting a dog into a lion exhibit is terrible and could hurt both animals. I think that the animals maybe though they were playing or the lions were just to young and scared of something they probably had never seen before.
No, I do not think it was harmless to let the dog in the exhibit. The dog could have caused chaos and one of them seriously injured. I think that the lions were young and easily intimidated.
Even though everybody was alright in the end, there could have definitely been some trouble if Dory wasn't as brave. The dog or the cubs could have gotten hurt if a serious fight broke out. I think the lion cubs were honestly scared of Dory. They have probably never seen a small dog such as Dory; they were intimidated.
Not harmless. One of the cubs could have easily ate the dog or they could have scratched each other. I guess it doesn't really matter so much that everything turned out fine but zoos need to be more careful. The lions didn't hurt him because they were probably confused and they don't see it as food.
I don't think it was harmless because the dog could have easily died and the person video taping was in great danger also. I think that the lions where not hungry enough to attack the dog.
As Long as you keep your eye on it I dont see any problem with having a dog there.
The dog probably looked like them or since there just cubs they didnt want to attack it but play with it.
I do not think letting the dog in there was harmless. The dog could have possibly gotten hurt, vice versa. I think the lions were too little to be protective over food or to see the dog as a potential threat.
That is a good point! I think also think that they are too young to know what's going on or even for it to make sense to them!
I think that letting the dog into the exhibit was harmful because the lions could've gotten a hold of the dog. I think that the lions were a little young so they didnt really know what was going on.
