An elderly fan of the Memphis Tigers was headed into surgery for a collapsed lung. Unfortunately, her favorite team was playing an NCAA tournament game against George Washington. She refused to enter the operating room until the game had finished. So she laid on the operating table while she and the doctors watched Memphis defeat George Washington 71-66. • You didn't reply to anyone.

  • Ya thats pretty awesome thats the kind of fans sports teams want ha.

  • She's lucky this worked out for her! It could have killed her if she didn't get attention quick enough and she needed it. I'm surprised the doctors let her wait.

  • I definitely not risk my health for a game. You could also watch a replay of the game after surgery.

  • I definitely wouldn't wait until my favorite team played, I could watch highlights of the game. My life is moer important to me than my favorite  basketball team playing.

  • I don't think I could risk it. Once I was out of surgery I would just watch highlights or have someone record the game for me. This just shows how much she is a true fan and how much she loves her team.

  • I don't think that I would risk it. But, more power to her. It worked out okay in the end!

  • Heck no! I don't watch sports anyways but even if there was going to POSSIBLY be something I MIGHT need to see I wouldn't risk death!!! That's just ridiculous and must have worried her family very much!

  • I would not risk my life. But since the lady was pretty old, and maybe her surgery was very risky and she wanted to see something she liked before the surgery just in case anything went bad then I understand why she would do it.

  • This is so funny, i would definatley do it if i was a die hard fan.
