A Florida woman, Mary Musselman was arrested for feeding black bears dog food. The authorities had warned her many times to stop, but she didn't listening. She would feed the bears 17-18 bowls of dog food at a time. The first time she feed the bears and got caught, the authorities brought pamphlets and informational videos saying why not to feed wild animals. She continued to feed them, she appeared in court multiple times and still didn't stop. Finally the law stepped in an arrested her. She is the only caregiver to her husband who is dying of cancer. She told authority if she stopped feeding the bears they would die.
Would you have arrested her? Would you every think to feed wildlife that much food?

Well done but you could have replied a bit more frequently.
I woulnt have arrested her she is 81, I wouldn't feed them in the first place
Yes, I would never think of feeding bears food that's not for bears. I'm sure their was signs that said don't feed the animals.
I think maybe she is doing this because she enjoys the bears, and takes her mind off her husband. There is obviously a reason why they don't want her feeding the bears, I wouldn't of arrested her. I probably would just charge her with something. I also wouldn't think to feed an animal that much. Im sure its expensive for her.
I think that this was the right thing for them to do. They asked her multiple times to stop, and she did not listen. If she would have listened, this would have never happened. Hopefully someone will be able to take care of her husband.
I don't think about arresting her, I would probably just give her fines with a bigger amount each time. Feeding the wildlife is kind of a weird thing to do because they are wild animals and have learned to get food for themselves so if we keep feeding them, we might stop and they won't know what to do since we have been feeding them.
If it is against the law then I think that she should've been arrested. I don't think that I would feed the wildlife because some animals if you give them food once they will keep coming back to where they can get the food.
well she should know that what she was doing was not right but not worth getting arrested for it
Exactly, they gave her information videos and pamphlets explaining not to. She really liked those bears.
I think the bears could have survived without the food because they are meant to live in that environment. And since she is 81, maybe she doesn't remember the warnings and doesn't have a normal mind. If that's the case, she should not be arrested.
