Pike Carlson, an 8-year old boy from Colorado, fought off a mountain lion. The boy was only playing with his brother in their backyard. He went down a hill to greet a neighbor, when he was attacked by the lion. Pike states,I was just punching, trying to grab anything that I can, I did find a stick and I tried to get it in the eye, but the stick snapped.While Pike was fighting the lion, his brother had run off to get their father, Ron Carlson. According to their father, he saw his son pinned under a tree with his head in the lions mouth.Ron Carlson was eventually able to scare the lion away. When he saw his some, his whole side of his face had been open, and There was blood all over him. Stated Ron. Th lion was a 1-year old male who was along with another male lion. Both lions were euthanized. Pike has gone through two surgeries, he may need a third surgery to repair part of his eyelid, but he is now home with his family recovering.

If I saw someone in this situation I would do anything i could to get the Lion off and direct its attention away from the injured person. I would have fought off the lion because i think that even though I myself might get injured its worth the risk of saving someones life.
I would have tried to help and yell for others help. I would have tried to scare it off because it's the right thing to do and I would do try to help the victim.
Well first of all this is very scary situation to be in for a kid that young. If I saw someone I would yell for someone to call 9-11, and I would run and try and scare it away. I'm not sure if I would be that brave to fight off the lion, but maybe I would find something to throw at it.
Wow, first of all this is crazy! How is it, that this young boy simply went outside to play along side of his brother and instead, was attacked by a mountain lion? Honestly though, I am not totally sure what I would do if I saw someone getting attacked like this. My immediate response, would probably be to find something to either hit, poke, or stab it so that I could get it to stop. With this being said, I do think I would have tried to somehow fight off the creature. I can't say for sure, but most likely I would have my phone outside with me, so I would try to call my dad and if he didn't answer, then I would probably call 911. This would be a very scary experience. Was there anything said about the age of the brother?
If I was in that scary situation I would try to help or at least call 911. I'm not sure what I my first reaction would be If I saw a mountian lion strangling the head of a little boy but I would for sure do anything to help him.
I think so, like I said above I'm not completly sure what I would do, but for sure I would help out. I think everyone woukd do something to help if they saw the situation the boy was in.
I would definetely try and hlep out in anyway I could as long as I'm not put in any immediate danger. Whats the point of having two injured people when that doesn't need to happen. I defeinetly wouldn't have fought off the lion. That's just a death wish.
If I saw someone in this situation I would call emergency services and then try to scare it off by yelling and throwing things at it. If it was me getting attack I would try and fight it off. I would do this because then I have a chance of scaring it away, instead of just letting it attack me.
If I was in this situation I probably would have screamed hoping someone would hear me. I would have tried to fight the lion off. I would have fought because I wouldn't just lay there and let the lion attack me. I would have to do something to at least say I tried to fight it off.
If I was in a situation where a mountain lion attacked me, I would try to startle it by hurting it in sensative places, like the eyes or the nose. I would only fight of the mountain lion of it was absolutely necessary because I don't like to interfere with wildlife.
