At around 3:30 Saturday in western Texas a mass shooting happened. As of now 8 are confirmed dead with others facing injuries. Seth Ator is a 36 year old man that has had misdemeanors before and was the gunman in this terrible event. The shootings were more of just a rampage and meant to just kill people,their was no motive. The shootings lasted for around 2 hours an began at a traffic stop and ended with police returning, and killing the shooter in a movie theater parking lot. More than 20 total were shot with 3 being law enforcement. With mass shootings on the rise Texas has implanted new laws that make it easier to carry a gun with hopes of stopping mass shootings.

I like to see them taking action in trying to prevent this from happening again but idk making it easier to carry weapongs is the right thing to do.

I like being able to have firearms for hunting and sports such as trap shooting but if we can't even be trusted with them I think we might have to just make all illegal unles you are some type of law enforcement.

I think that people should be able to have guns, but there needs to be some background checks. there are many people with guns that should not have them so i think to make sure there in good hands u should have to pass a class that shows you are good with them, and a test that you need to take that makes sure we are not getting them in the wrong hands.
I agree with the decision Texas made to make it easier to carry a firearm. I believe that if more good people have guns then there is more people to stop the bad people. Aslo I feel like even if they tried to make it harder to get guns the people that were misusing them would still get them illegaly. One way i think that might work is to maybe try to have more security at events even though that would be harder I fell like that it might help there be less mass shootings.
yes and when you say more good people having guns I think security is a great way for that to happen and I do agree that, that decsion would most defenitly help with the lowering of crime levels.
I think that it is a good idea to keep the citizens armed, it just needs to be the right ones. I think they need to crack down on who can concealed and or open carry legally by taking more consideration into backround checks of people. As you said he has misdemeanors, which should have been checked out before he was able to carry. However I'm willing to bet he ilegally aquired the gun(s) he used in the shooting. I think the government should focus on cracking down on ilegal gun trade, not legally carrying firearms. I disagree with you when you say we might have to just make all guns ilegal however, because thats not going to keep criminals from getting to them. It will only keep law abiding citizens from doing so.
I agree with you because if we give them to everyone they may still not be used correctly but if lots of people that do know how to use them have them it might actually be a great idea and end up lowering crime / mass shootings.
I do not believe that making it easier to carry a firearm will prevent mass shootings at all. Although some people know how to handle using a firearm, there are still very suspicous people in this world. If anything, they should make it harder to carry one because past results prove that some people can't handle carrying a gun at all times.

I agree with you if made easier to carry weapons more crime may happen but if thats not the case it might work because the bad guys will know they will be shot right away.Making it so you have to be older is a good idea too.
I agree with Texas for making it easier to carry a firearm. FIrst, i dont think how easy or hard it is to get a gun matters or will change the amount of mass shootings. I think that goes down to the parents of the people who are doing those bad things. The parent should have stepped up and raised them no matter what the situation is.
I dont think there is much we can do but be better prepared for the next shootings. The people who use guns for sports and hunting are not the problem, they know all the laws and regulations and follow them. Its the people who dont have parents that take care of them when they are young and letting them get in gangs and having no consquences for their actions.
