70 mph Hood Rider

January 28th a 65 year old man clung to the hood of an SUV that was involved in a sideswipe. Richard Kamrowski had getting out of get insurance information from the driver 37 years-old Mark Fitzgerald. The men got into an argument and Mark began to drive away, but Richard jumped on the hood of the SuV. Kamrowski stated that "I thought he was “I thought he was going to run over me and I don’t know I don’t think he stopped he just kept going fast then slow, fast then slow trying to get me to slide off and I wasn’t getting off the car." In the end the driver was stopped by another driver with a gun. Fitzgerald and Kamrowski were arrested and Fitzgerald is facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent driving, and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damages. Kamrowski is being charged with disorderly conduct. The man that helped stop the car is not being charged.

Do you think that Kamrowski should be charged?

No, He shouldn't have jumped on the hood but I don't think that he should of been charged with disorderly conduct.

How would you of handled the sitution?

I would of tried to write down his license plate number but not jump on his hood or I would chase him down with my car if i didn't get the plates

  • Good overall but you should have replied more.

  • I think he should be charged because if he's not it has the potential of encouraging other people to do it by saying there are no consequences. I would call 911 and try to remember exactly what happened.

  • I do not think that Kamrowski should be charged with anything. I am not sure if jumping on the hood was the best idea but getting ran over was not a anybetter idea. So i think that what he did was the best idea for his situation so he could stay somewhat safe.

I do not think i would have stood in front of his car when the driver was walking away. I personally think that if hes walking away from trading insurance, he wouldnt have cared if he hurt or injured the man even if he was very angry. I probally would have maybe closed his door or got his plate numbers written down.

  • Yes I do you cant be stupid and jump onto someones car hood and just decide to not get off your indangering him yourslef an people around you he needs to be charged with something all he did was make matters worse when they dident have to

I would have puled out my phone and taken a picture of his license plate to give it to the cops or grabed the door handle and try to calmly get him out of the car not jump on it

  • I do not think that Kamrowski should be charged. I do not think that he should have jumped on the hood, but he had a good reason. I would have written down his license plate number also, and just told the police about the incident. I do not think that I would have personally jumped on his hood because that could be deadly to me.

  • Yes, I think that he should be charged, all he did was escalate the situation and make it worse. I think I would've called 911 and written down the car's license plate number, not make the situation more dangerous by jumping on the hood of a moving car.

  • Yes i think he should have been charged you cant just jump on somebodies car. It wasn't the right thing to do. I would have talked to the man if the situation isn't handled then get his license plate and try to get it figured out. If u couldn't get his license plate then i would try to get his name and phone number and solve the situation.

  • 1) I think he should have been charged. For what he did was wrong. I think that both shoud be charged. They are both grown men, and they need to learn how to handle life.

    2) I think that I would also try to write down his license plate number. I don't think that this should have happened in the first place. If you get in a crash, you get out and apologize.

  • Wow... this is taking road rage to a whole other level. I can't believe the Kamrowski jumped on his hood, but the fact that the other guy kept driving?! I mean, I get he's mad, but you could have run him over and killed the guy! Take a chill pill dude! If I were in this situation I would probably just get the plate number like a normal person...

  • I think he should be charged because he should be punished for putting himself and others in danger. If the driver crashed he would have definitely been dead because of his poor decision. All he had to do was get the license plate number then turn it into the police.
