In Brazil on March 14, a bus carrying worshipers to a religious event went off the road into a ravine. The bus went off of a curve and dropped more than 1,100 feet in the rural area of Serra Dona Francisca, killing 50 people. About a dozen people were injured. Out of them, there are four children. Only four of the deceased bodies have been recovered. The annual rate of road accident deaths in Brazil is about double here in the U.S. An estimated 43,869 people died in traffic accidents in 2010. I think that the injured people were the ones at the bottom when the bus stopped, but the story doesn't say.
I feel like the roads in Brazil are very dangerous and I am never going to drive there. I also think that they should do more to protect people from getting into accidents like these.
What do you think should be done to prevent so many accidents like this to happen?

I think they need to put up guard rails for some protection around curves. They need to make the roads safer.
Make the roads safer, fix them up and make them wider so cars aren't colliding with another car, they can put side gates on the roads where it gets really steep, and maybe move people so there aren't as many people driving on the road.
I think that they should find ways to make the roads safer. I think they should think before they make the roads where they do and that they need to make sure that people know what they are doing while they are driving.
To prevent accidents from happening in Brazil, I think they should have more restrictions when it comes to driving. Lower their speed limit, make more laws, set up roads differently, put more signs up, and require drivers Ed.

Yeah but them roads are pretty tricky to work on, I'm sure they have signs and a slow speed limit. People just don't follow it.
I think they need to study how things thing happen. If its because of the roads or where it happens. Just fiqure out whats causing the problems.
I think they should fix their roads and laws of driving to make it safer for the people. Also have more rules to follow while driving and getting licenses.
