5 Cheetahs Born

Five cheetah cubs were born earlier this month in a rare C-section at the Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio. The Cheetahs were born on March 8th with three males and two females. The Zoo's director of animal health said the the cubs need to be on critical watch and will stay in the nursery for 7-8 weeks.

The Zoo director of animal health said this is his third time performing a C-section, his first on a Cheetah though. THere has been over 50 cheetah cubs born there since the zoo opened in 2002.

1. If you help do the C-section, What would be going through your head when they have all came out and seeing them for the first time?

2. Do you think the mother of these cubs has seen them yet?

  • Good overall but you could have replied a bit more.

  • I would be pretty honored to have helped birth the 5 cheetah cubs. I would probably be grossed out as well since I don't handle blood very easily.  I'm hoping that the mother has seen the cubs yet, I sure hope so.

  • Absolutely what the heck did I witness. Probably not since they are still in the nursery, so that might not have happen. But who knows for sure.

  • It would be gross and slimy, but it would also be really cool to see. I think it would help the cubs get well faster if their mother was there to comfort them. That connection from a baby and it's mother is so amazing so I think ti would be good for them to be together.

  • I would want to keep them even though you couldn't- they are so cute. If the mother hasn't seen them yet, she probably will see them soon. That would be very nerve-wrecking and stressful to have to complete a procedure like that.

  • I would absolutely fall in love. They are so cute and small and helpless. I don't think she's seen them yet because they're in the nursery.

    • Yeah she probably hasn't seen them yet. But i hope she does soon so she doesn't abandon them when she does see them

  • I would hope that there okay, no because they are still in the nursing room

  • I would adore them! They are super cute! I'm not quite sure because I don't know how the procedure goes, but I imagine sometime after the medicine wears off.

  • I would think they are really cute and just want to hold them and pet them and everything. I think she should have just because they are her babies and she has to take care of them.
