A 48 year old millionaire, John Goodman is being accused of trying to avoid liability (debt) by adopting his 42 year old girlfriend! He was in a car accident on February 12, 2010. He ran a stop sign and hit a car and killed 23 year old Scott Wilson. Test were done that showed that John Goodman was intoxicated while he was driving. He is just using the adoption of HIS GIRLFRIEND to hide his financial problems.

This is ridiculous. He should have to face his problems just like everyone else has to, instead of adopting his girlfriend to avoid it.
That's weird. She shouldn't be his girlfriend anymore if he adopted her, it sounds so strange. Why does a 42 year old need adopted anyway? Oh, that's right, she doesn't!!! The financial problems must be huge if a millionaire is hiding from them. Or he's just selfish.
That's a pretty irresponsible thing to do....just because he's rich doesn't mean that he's exempt from the law. If you kill someone in an accident that was your fault, it doesn't matter how fat your wallet is, people are still going to hate you all the same and know that you were responsible.
I hope he goes to jail or something. Especially if he's doing it to get out of his car accident charges or whatever. I think that would be considered man slaughter. And hoe can you adopt someone that is 42 years old? that's weird
What's the legal point of adopting someone older than eighteen. I can see the benefit for him but how is that even legal?
Yeah i think that is weird and he shouldn't have been drinking and driving now he has to live with killing someone is whole life

That is really weird that someone would adopt someone else when they are that close in age, but to be DATING?! That is just weird. I still don't get how it would take his depts away by adopting his gf though..? It confuses me..:/
this just gives me a better reason to hate rich people, they think that just because they got money, they think they can get away with anything
He should have to do jail time, just because he is rich doesn't mean anything! He can't buy he way out of drinking and driving. Adopting his girlfriend just shows that he has problems, which is a even more reason to lock him away.
