A 4 year old boy from Michigan told the authorities that his mom "had a big knife and cut his sister..." You may think that her husband would be home and try to stop her, but the night before she murdered her daughter, she chased her husband out of the house with the knife. The Child Protective Service had received word that the daughter had bite marks and bruises. On December 23, an agency was alerted that the children were being neglected. On December 27, the children looked clean and well taken care of. But on December 30, the girl was murdered by her mother.
This would be very tragic for a little boy to witness. I feel bad for him, but I feel especially for the family members. You have to wonder what was going through the mother's head, but in today's society it's hard to know. What are your thoughts? What if you were the 4 year old? What if you were the husband? What if? What would you do? In any case, it's easy to say what you would do, but when it really happens, would you react the same?

That is so awful! If I were the boy, I wouldn't know what to do. He's going to have that image in his head for the rest of his life. Whenever someone asks him if he has siblings, that's unfortunately what he'll most likely think of. If I were the husband, I would think about the daughter everyday for the rest of my life. I would constantly be thinking about how different things would if I stood up to the mom. It's absolutely not his fault, but if I were him I couldn't help but carry a little bit of guilt with me.
I would feel so sorry for the little boy to witness this, his sister could have been a really good friend to her brother. I really hope that mom was taken out of society, I would not want someone like that running around, I also hope the husband divorced her or at least got her some help.
People do horrible things that just cannot be understood. I feel so terrible for the little boy. Hopefully he has a chance for a good future and can get way from violence.
ZOMBIE!! What is wrong with this lady. She went through nine months of crazy just to kill her daughter in cold blood, and on top of that, in front of a 4 year old. Now, he has to be a foster child, could you imagine having one of your loved ones taken away from you as you witnessed the horror, those kind of scars never disappear, and then having to leave your mother whom you thought you could trust, but now can never see again. Think about that for moment.
I feel terrible for that little having to witness something like that at such a young age. Well this would be terrible to witness at any age. I imagine that little boy will be having problems for the rest of his life for what he's been through. But, I hope that mother is behind bars for the rest of her life for what she did.
That poor boy! No four year old should ever have to watch no child should ever have to watch that. If I was that four year old I would probably run away and get out of the house. If I was the husband I would call the cops and try to get my kids out of the house. I would rather take my life not my kids. The mother must have been going through a very difficult time, a mother shouldn't want to kill her kids. I just feel really bad for this family, and I hope no else does that EVER!
That poor boy! I wouldn't be able to watch this! And I agree with you on what was going through the mother's head. I'm thinking maybe nothing was going through her head..but of course there could have been. The article mentioned that someone was thinking that the girl's brother should have a private vistitation....I can understand why someone would , so family members don't encourage the way they tell the story, but if they already have a story from the boys then they should be able to be with their family.
