In Allentown Pennsylvania, there was a suspected natural gas explosion, and four people were killed including a 4-month-old baby and a 79 year old. This explosion destroyed 8 homes, by completely leveling them off.One of the firefighters, who worked on the explosion, said it was difficult to fight the fire because of the weather, because it was cold and icy, so wherever they ran the water it just turned to ice. A witness said the blast sounded like a bomb, and he thought the war had been, "brought to his doorstep." When the witness looked out of his window, toward the sound of the blast, he saw nothing but flames. The reason for this explosion is undetermined, but they suspect it was because of a gas line. The fire-fighter said, "gas lines are like water lines, as the ground freezes and thaws, it tends to shift, and sometimes it cracks the pipes."
