So up to 30 people were peppered sprayed outside a Santa Monica College trustee board meeting becuase they were demanding to be let into the meeting. "No cuts, no fees, education should be free," they were chanting this outside the meeting. Someone claimed- police officers fired the spray into the mouths and eyes of people standing arm's length away.-
what do you think of this? I think its dumb. They have freedom of speech. Why should they be peppered sprayed for this??? Leave your thoughts.

I've seen a bunch of people get pepper sprayed on TV and it's kinda hard to watch people go blind like that. My eyes water just thinking about it. These people probably shouldn't have been sprayed.
That have freedom of speech and they were not being vilont or anything, I dont think it was necessary to pepper spray them all.

Yes they have freedom of speech but if they weren't doing what they were telling them and if they were their land they could do that and I'm guessing they have good reason for doing it too. They probably even warned them too and they didn't listen so they probably had every right to do it.
Freedom of speech! It was a non violent protest but, the real question is do they have a permit?
That is just wrong. I feel really bad for the little girl in the picture.. I would be pissed if they peppersprayed me or my family. It would just make me more angry.

thats dumb, why would they spray people? we have a freedom of speech that means we can say whatever we want to say and not have to be worried about being pepper sprayed or anything like that. and were they trying to break the doors down or what, because i wouldnt spray them otherwise...
We have freedom of speech and the cops had no right to do this. This shows that not all cops are the good guys and that some cops have issues.
Why would they just spray them. Unless they were being vilent.
