One thing americans have had to ask themselves in the past couple of year is "should the 2nd Amendment change?" some people may even ask if it should be taken away. well in order to determine an opninon of anything we have to under stand it so here lies the google definition of the 2nd amendment. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." so now that we understand that the second amendment gives americans the right to bear arms/own guns. Could that be dangerous?
Well, of course that can be dangerous anyone with a gun can be dangerous. So does this mean we should take it away. Due to a study in 2019 on https://www.statista.com/ it said that over 10 million people were arrested in 2019 in the U.S.A. So what stopped them from breaking the law... absolutely nothing! So if we take away the 2nd amendment are we just taking away the rights for law abiding citizens to defend themselves?
Well in conlusion I think its obvious to see what side of the fence im on but I want you to make a discision on what side your on. explain any different opinions in the comments.

I do not think the 2nd amendment should change because people should be allowed to own guns for home protection. I think if they change anything about the 2nd amendment I think they should do better background checks so guns don't get sold to criminals.
It definitely shouldn't be taken away. There's no point in doing that to the people that want to defend themselves rather than the people that are making us question taking it away. We should just have tougher restrictions.
The 2nd amendment shouldn't be taken away, but harsher gun control should be put in place. I think that guns are necessary for home protection, but I think that all gun owners should be required to take a gun safety course every year.
I do not believe the second ammendment should be taken away. If it were taken away then it wouldn't be fair. Though some are dangerous and not trusting with guns, I still think people should be able to have guns to protect themselves. However, I think there should be a tougher restiction.
I do not think that the amendment should change just because it works very well but I wish people like the ATF would go away or change. I also do not think that the amendment should not be taken away just because our founding father created it and we can't take it away.
I dont think that the second ammendment should be taken away, but I do feel that we should take measures to ensure that guns are not in the hands of mentally unsound people. I also agree that people should have the right to own a gun to protect themselves, because the world is dangerous and there are disturbing people out there, so I also think that it is important to keep these people from having access to guns.
I don’t think that the 2nd Amendment should be taken away, because owning a gun is one way you can protect yourself from people that are trying to harm you. I also think they should keep the 2nd Amendment because if someone is trying to rob a store, the store owner can attempt to stop the criminal. I do think though if people are abusing the 2nd Amendment then they shouldn’t be able to have a firearm, due to them possibly causing harm to others.
I think the 2nd ammendment should change to them saying they will put tougher restriction on it so that people who will hurt people don't get it. I don't think that 2nd ammendment should be taken away because it is our rights to have guns to protect ourselves. Also, we should be able to have guns to not only protect ourselves, but also to use and have fun using them. Yes, I know guns our no laughing matter, but their is people who like shooting different guns because of the experience it gives.
I really don't think the second amendment needs to be changed because criminals who want to have a gun are going to get a gun in their hands one way or another. Then once you take the guns from the people who obey the laws they have nothing to protect themselves with.
No, I don't think the 2nd amendment should be changed. I think that our government has a strong enough hold on gun regulation. To change the 2nd amendment is almost removing a pillar of our American democracy. I also don't think the 2nd amendment should be taken away, because the founding fathers wished for us to have the right to bear arms. If we take that away, then it is only the first step in taking apart what is the greatest nation in the world.
