One thing americans have had to ask themselves in the past couple of year is "should the 2nd Amendment change?" some people may even ask if it should be taken away. well in order to determine an opninon of anything we have to under stand it so here lies the google definition of the 2nd amendment. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." so now that we understand that the second amendment gives americans the right to bear arms/own guns. Could that be dangerous?
Well, of course that can be dangerous anyone with a gun can be dangerous. So does this mean we should take it away. Due to a study in 2019 on https://www.statista.com/ it said that over 10 million people were arrested in 2019 in the U.S.A. So what stopped them from breaking the law... absolutely nothing! So if we take away the 2nd amendment are we just taking away the rights for law abiding citizens to defend themselves?
Well in conlusion I think its obvious to see what side of the fence im on but I want you to make a discision on what side your on. explain any different opinions in the comments.

The second amendment should 100% not be taken away because it gives people a chace to defend themselves, maybe learn about the history of guns, owning one for fun and just using it as a entertainment piece that should obviously be taken seriously and carefully, and is used for hunting as well. I personally would be devastated if this was taken away because I hunt, but hunting also prevents overpopulation of that animal and disease from spreading.
I don't think it should change because we need to be able to defend ourselves. I think that if you want to buy something like an assault rifle you should be able to. I definitely don't think that it should be taken away because if we the people wouldn't be able to defend ourselves from the government.
I do not think that the second amendment should be taken away or changed. Some people say that if we take away the second amendment then it will decrease crime. I don't think that this would be the case since no matter what criminals are going to be able to get their hands on guns legally or not. This would lead to more law-abiding citizens being hurt or killed.

I do not think that the second amendment should be abolished. Modifyed, maybe but that is a right to protection, something everyone deserves. I think if there were more through backround checks, mental helath checks, and drug/alcohol use. But people should have the right to bear arms. It has been a part of our history and culture since the Constitution was created.
