The pandemic has left an affect on money, creating a coin shortage across the nation. You may have seenthat in restaurants, stores, or small businesses there is a a sign next to check out that might say that they would appreciate it if you would pay with exact change or use your credit card. To start, many people believe that using the term "coin shortage" isn't the best thing to use because their is still the same amount of coins but they aren't circulating as fast as the did before the pandemic. Reasons for the " coin shortage" is because the capacity in the U.S. mint is lower than normal because of the Pandemic. Another effect is that many people are lcoked up in their home or not going out as often as they were before, and most are shopping online or using the curbside pick-up, which this leads to more and more people using credit cards.
In concusion,I think that this leaves a huge affect on many business owner, restaurants, and even an everyday person because as the corona virus is spreading and becoming more of a problem, many people stay in and buy groceries, order food, or even shop online. This causes them to use their debit card instead of cash and change. Also more and more people are not going to the bank as often and decreasing the amount of change that is brought in by people who may exchange their change for cash
How do you think that people could do to help fix this problem?
cI think that many people should still be able to go out and get the things they need instead of worrying about the pandemic, yes I understand that many older people are worried about this, but they should have younger friends or family members run places for them instead of shopping online for everything because this could potentionally speed up the circulation of coins across the states.

I think this is getting out of hand because this shouldn't have to have this big of an effect on businesses and restaurants because many people could still go out and get the things they need if they wash their hands often and wear there masks in public places and keep their distance.

I think to fix this problem more people need to start using more cash than usual. I also think it would help if everyone that has jars and jars full of changed would start to take it to the bank and use it. I do think this is getting out of hand. More people need to stop saving their changed and let it flow through the money system. It also wouldn't hurt if some businesses that never had the option of using a card should start using that option.
I agree that people should go out and try to live their normal lives safely. I think people need to get out and get what they need and still use their change becasue after all its money and you should use it. I belive there are many was aroung this problem and people should try to just live as normal as possible.

I agree with everything you have said because many people are letting it get to their head and staying inside and not leaving, I think there are many ways around it too instead of just avoiding reality and letting it stop them from doing things they did regularly before the pandemic.
I mean alot of people arent going out like it said but it would be nice so we can get it back to normal and ive seen signs like that in stores and stuff. and i think they should wear there mask and stuff becasuse this is like getting bad because the signs are everywhere but its up to the people really. And instead of shopping online go to the store so the stores can get back to normal with coins.
I have seen signs in stores down in CB and if people started going out and buying things it would most likely help the problem. And I agree that its getting bad because more and more people fear the pandemic and letting it keep them from doing their everyday things.

I believe that people could help out by going out of there homes and go buy stuff in stores with cash to help the businesses to keep their coin shortage to not be so low. I think it is getting out of hand a little bit because everyone is just scared of the pandemic because all the major news sources make it sound super bad but in reality people can survive and get out of their homes, I do understand that older people don't want to leave their homes but i think they would be more willing to use cash and coins instead of a credit card.
