A school shooting happened at a high school in Frederick, Maryland. Fortunately, no one was killed and only two students were wounded. Eye witnesses say that the first shots were fired right outside the school at the basketball court where a game was currently being played. Authorities say that the victims were both male and that their injuries were not life threatening. The school has been searched up and down for any possibilities of finding any clues as to why or how.So far, nobody knows who the shooter is or why he or she would have decided to do this.

The high level of stress in school is most likely a cause. They say today's average high school student measures the same mental-health readings of a 1950's asylum patient.
The victims might not have been the original targets, but there was probably a reason.
I think that they are trying to get attention. And, since our media puts school shootings on the news, worldwide, then that is A LOT of attention. And i think the victims were at random. I dont think they were targeted. But, it is a possibility.

I think its the fact that they want attention because when you don't have a gun in your hands, no one really pays attention to you, if you are that kid that may not have a lot of friends and people talk about you and they don't really like you. Shooter have a reason why do it, and for most it's about the things that have happened in the passed that haunts them and they feel scared about it, they want pay back and hurting someone to make them feel the pain they felt is what they want.
I think that there are so many shooters because it's about popularity now. Some gangs think it's cool when you do that and I don't think that's right. I think they might have been aiming for maybe someone they don't like, or maybe it was someone at random. No one will know until they get them.
I hadn't thought that it could be a gang doing this.. that's a good idea.
I think that their are many school shootings because there are many people in one area. I think the shooter could have had a reason. Some reasons could be they were bulling the shooter, or someone close to him.
I think it's because public schools are more vulnerable with more people and a larger area. The shooter was probably a student who was getting bullied or felt like they weren't important and were striking out.
The shooter could have possibly been targeting the kids that had bullied him/her. ( That is if they were bullied and that was the reason.)
