Two people dead and many others injured in a school shooting. The shooting occurred in the Los Angeles area on Thursday morning. County sheriff Alex Villanueva said the male suspect was among those transported to the area hospital for injuries. A 14-year-old and 16-year-old boy and a girl died in the shooting. The Authorities said the shooting was reported at 7:30 am, according to other students, the building was open for an optional period before actual classes started, which explains why students were around, but why the school wasn't full. Detectives have looked at the video at the scene, which shows the suspect taking a handgun from his backpack, shooting five people and then firing the weapon at his head. Television images showed deputies at the school and people being moved on gurneys.
What do you think caused this male student to act in the way that he did? Drugs? Alcohol? Mental illness?
I think that it could've been any of these factors, or maybe he was even getting bullied, and he just got fed up with all the things people were saying to him.
Do you think that anyone noticed him before the shooting? And if so what do you think they are thinking now?
I would think that if someone had seen this student before he had pulled his gun, I would guess that he would've had emotion on his face and I personally would have stopped and asked what was wrong. If I was a student that saw him before I would be guilt-tripping myself right now.

1. It could of very well been those kind of things that motivated the student to do such a thing, but it could also have been a different reason. As much as I'd hate to admit it as schools there is something similar to classes, ( Top class, Middle class etc.)but we as students call it popularity. Maybe this student was suffering at home. With the suffering at home added to school pressure of passing and getting work done, and the pressure of students or even teachers picking or bullying him, he couldve just snapped under it all.
2.You never know. He could've been ignored or maybe the opposite. Whats truely sad about this is if he was ignored or unnoticed before this, people are just now seeing him and the impression he put made people scared. I think he wasn't a bad person and he had a lot going on that he couldn't handle. He was probably just another face in the faceless crowd looking to be seen. He could've done this better but it was his own choice to make.
It could be so many reasons. It is crazy to think some people would want to do something like this. He could have just been mad. Anything could have been going on in his life. I would think if someone noticed him, they would tell someone.
I would say all school shootings happen because of drugs or a mental illness. I do not think anyone in the right mind would want to go to school and shoot classmates and themselves. I do not think anyone noticed him because if they did, they probably would have let someone know before he had the chance to open fire.
I hate when i hear somthing about a school shooting becasue there are kids just trying to do somthing with there lifes and get a good education. I think all of what you said could have caused them. Also I think it would be hard to notcie beasue the person that did it pry did some planing.
It is always terrible when a school shooting happenes and just hard for everybody. I'm not sure what caused the person to shoot up the school but I agree with you that could've been any of those factors. I don't think anybody would've noticed him before the shooting because they were probably just expecting a regular day of school
It could have been those. Or he could have just been pretty crazy. I don't think anyone would suspect him to do anything like that.
I agree with you that it could have been any one of those because sometimes you just don't really know until it really happens. I agree with you at he would have had some sort of look on his face because there had to be a lot of different emotions running through his head at the time.
I think that it could have been maby one or more of those three factors but I would have to agree and say it was probelly because of bullying and he decided to take matter into his own hands. I dont think they did he proebelly put the gun in his bag so no one would see it and wouldnt think of anything weird so no I dont think anyone noticed anything weird about him walking in to the school.
I think he just wasn't a great place in live right now and probably thought he had nothing to live for so he decide to hurt some people and then he just killed himself as well. I think maybe some people might have noticed but i dont think he probably had the gun out were they saw it but if the gun was out they should have called 911 or notified a teacher right away.
I feel bad for the kid who shot people and himself because he clearly had some sort of mental illness or was doing drugs. I am assuming that this kid probably was getting bullied or no one really paid attention to him so he felt worthless.
