13 Dead After Russian Plane Starts on Fire

 Story:

On May, 5th a report was made that a Russian Aeroflot flight caught on fire. It was also reported that 2 children died to this cause. This superjet 100 was flying from Moscow to Murmansk. During this flight, a fire broke out. The plane had to land back in Moscow. Trust me, the landing wasn't a soft one. When the plane landed, videos showed people fleeing from the plane as in engulfed in flames. The Russian President, Vladimir Putin ordered a "thorough investigation". I think Vladimir knows a thing or two about investigations. The Russian Invesigative Committee has launced a "criminal probe" on the incident. After 13 dead, 7 are also injured.

Questions:

1). If you were on this plane when this happened, what would be going through your head?

A: I have flown quite a bit. For this to happen would be pretty scary. I think that I would try my best to stay calm. Second I would try to help anybody. I think that everybody would also be scared.

2) Do you believe that this had anything to do with the planning of fire? (Do you think this was planned?)

A: I am not really sure. I don't that anybody could really "pull-off" a crime like this with today's security. I think that this was simply just a faulty plane. I think that they should maybe investigate more into the model of this plane to see if there are any other faulty ones.

  • Well done Mitchell!

  • It would be really scary and I don't know what to think because you hear about stuff like this happening and don't think it will ever happen to you. I'm not sure why someone would purposly set a plane on fire or want to hurt other people.

  • The first thing I would have done is try and find the nearest exit. After I had located the exit, I would try and do my best to help others around me and eventually flee the aircraft, saving whomever I could. I think that this accident was exactly that, an accident.

  • I would stay as calm as possible and then help out in anyway that I can. I don't think that this was planned in anyway. I believe that the fire was completely an accident.

  • I think I would start panicking and think im going to dies this is it theres no way out if this one

I dont think so problems can occur with these kind of things all the time with all the gas and oil in those things some bad is bound to happen eventually

    • Yes, I also think that I would probably panic and mabe be a little scared. I would try to get out of the plane as fast as possible. I also believe that this could have happened with any machinery.

  • I think that I would be frozen and freaking out. I can't even begin to imagine being in a plane that was engulfed in flames. I would be mortified. The first thing that would go through my head is this is not happening. Once it clicked, I would be thinking about how I was going to survive. I doubt that this fire was planned. I don't know of any motive(s) that would lead to a plan like this.

  •  "I think Vladimir knows a thing or two about investigations". I applaud you on that, sir. I love how you just subtely slipped that in there. In all seriousness however, that is a terrible story to hear about and I'm glad that those that were able to get out got out. It really is a tragedy, and I would be terrified to be on that plane with nowhere to go but thousands of feet down.

  • I think this would be pretty scary too and I've flown quite a bit too. I don't like flying for a long time and I would imagine that I would hate it for even longer but hopefully not. I don't think this had to do anything with planning when this happened, but I would also try my best to stay calm.

    • Yes I think that this occurance would be scary, even if you have flown a lot! I also believe that this was just faulty and I do not think that there was any planning behind this.
