An eleven year old girl is being charged with murder for beating a 2 month old to death. This girl went to juvenile court, police are having a hard time figuring out what really could have happened in a situation like this. They are looking into what could encourage such a young child to do this. The girl's mom was watching the 2 month old. When the mother fell asleep on the couch, the daughter took care of the baby. The 11 year old woke up her mother telling her something was wrong with the baby. The mother called 911 and the baby was rushed to the hospital. The baby later died during emergency surgery. The baby had major injuries in its brain, liver, and other major organs. The 11 year old is being hold in Lake County Juvenile Detention Center and understands the charges. The 11 year old is not giving her name because of her age.

I think the 11 year old just didn't really know the correct ways of caring for a child, which is too bad. I don't really know how this story could turn out.

I think that the 11 year old beat the baby because it wouldn't stop crying, or she is just crazy. I think they should find out what is wrong with the 11 year old before they press any charges because it is quite likely she has some type of mental illness to do something like that.
I think the 11 year beat the baby and did it on purpose. I think she should be charged as an adult for manslaughter. The situation is very sad.
There`s a huge chance that the 11 year old accidentally hurt the baby not knowing how to properly take care of it. Its terrible that this happened. Especially since a 11 year old is the one being charged.
Yes this 11 should be charged like an adult. Age doesnt matter when you do something like this. No one will probably never know what actually happened, maybe even the mother will get charged. Who knows who actually hurt the baby.

I think this is very sad and horrible. I think that the 11 year old may have been dealing with some mental issues that caused her to beat her younger sibling. No matter what the case, this child needs help and hopefully someone will be able to give it to her.
