10 Foot Python found in Christmas Tree

Leanne Chapman can home to a very large, frightening surprise on Thursday in Australia when she noticed a 10 foot python curled around her christmas tree. Well, not right away. Upon first aproaching the front porch, Leanne and her partner first noticed a couple Butcher birds freaking out on their porch. Not knowing the reason, Leanne's partner pulled out his cellphone and began recording the birds... leaning against the tree in the process. It didn't take long before he realized he was not just leaning on a tree. The couple jumped away from the giant snake in surprise, but ultimately decided to leave it alone, allowing it to later slither away after wishing them a brief "Merry ChrHISSSSStmas".

I guess that's just how those Australian's role. "Oh, 10 foot python? Again? Ah, it'll wander off eventually, just like that foot long spider we found in the shower last week..."

Forget the kangaroos, I'm never moving to Australia.

Leanne Chapman was alerted to the python's presence by birds "kicking off on the balcony."

What would you do if you came home to a scene like this?

- Probably be very, very, freaked out at first, but as long as it is eventually removed from my house, I wouldn't be too worried. I actually kinda like snakes... as long as they don't strangle me in my sleep, but you know, its fine... And maybe there is a plus side to this! If you have a house cat, this'll keep them from scaling the tree...

Would you ever consider living in Australia with crazy animals like foot long spiders and 10 foot snakes?

 Imma pass, but thanks.

    • Oh, yeah, I agree that I would never try to remove this thing myellf. I like snakes, but I wouldn't try to move a wild ten foot python on my own. Snakes are still very dangerous, especially if they are wild. And I wouldn't mind living in Australia if not for the spiders...

  • If I came across that, even in Australia, I would not have been as cool as you. I probably would have tried to kill it or get rid of it in any way possible. As for if I would live in Australia, I would not. Although the snakes and spiders might not be such a big problem.

    • Nooo don't kill it! I mean, kill the spiders all you want, they can burn in hell for all I care, but I think snakes are chill... most of them... sometimes... I don't know, maybe I am just biased because my cousins had a pet python named pretzel. C'mon, a snake named pretzel, how cute is that?

  • I would probably be very suprised and I would get kind of fraked out. I would probably call some kind of pest control to come take the snake. I probably would not move there because that country has the craziest animals on the planet.

    • Haha, honestly. Australia really does have some weird animals don't they... So does Africa though. The ones in Africa just so happen to be a lot larger and less sneaky. I definately think that smaller, sneakier animals are a lot more threatening than bigger ones. Nontheless, I still wouldn't more to Australia, purely because of the spiders. I can deal with the other animals but creepy crawlies are where I draw the line.
