The Northeast is without power due to the Tropical Storm Philippe that blew out of the region. The storm has left 313,875 in Massachusetts and 356,806 people in Main without power. It may take several days to restore the power, and there is colder air that is working its way into the east, so being without power could be very dangerous, especially if their are little ones in the surrounding areas.
Questions
1.) How would you deal with the power being out for days?
2.) How would you keep warm when the cold comes
I would try to do as much as I could to make food, probably mostly sandwiches. I'm not sure how I would keep warm though. It would be very difficult. Probably lots of blankets, and lots of layers.

Good job overall! All of your comments were done on one day. You should comment on three different days.
1.) I would try to do my best in this situation which means living my normal life as good as it's possible, probably there will be a lot of candles needed.
2.) I think I would wear everything I have in layers and maybe my family could make a big fire so that everyone stays warm. There are also a lot of blankets I could use.
But through all of that, I hope this will never happen to me.
1. I honestly would be okay. I love to read and i would spend my time with a book and a blanket. I like technology and being able to talk to my friends farther away is nice but if the power went out for an extended period of time i would be fine.
2. in my house we have a wood burning fire place and lots of blankets. we would use those to keep warm and i would wear layers.
That's awesome that you love reading! But you have to think about how the day light may not last very long, especially since it is starting to get darker earlier. But having a fireplace would be awesome!
I would use probably candles for lighting. If I was able to go to the store, I would stock up on foods and make a lot of foods that don't require power. I would also make sure I have a lot of warm clothes and blankets to keep warm in the cold.
Candles would be a great light source. Foods without being able to need cooked would be a good idea, and you could even start a fire. I would also make sure I had lots of layers and blankets so I could stay warm.
I would make sure to have plenty of food and try to find a way to keep my refrigerator running, which would probably be by generator. I would find a generator to keep the heat running because it would be very cold.
I would hope to have plenty of food also. I'd just hope that I'd be able to eat it without it being cooked. But you could also start a fire to cook it. A generator would be awesome! But sadly not everyone can afford those, or have them..
I would make sure I had supplies that made me warm. I'd make sure I had blankets, coats, socks, lots of clothes and hats ready incase it got too cold. I would go stay with some family that had power.
Lots of layers would be best for the cold. Maybe even a fire? If you think about it though there isn't a place for miles that has power, so it could be a very long drive for yourself, and your other family.
