In West Salem, WI a land lady refused a single mom an apartment becasue she didn't have a man. The landlady said that the winters to brutal that she would have to have a man to shovel her snow. Later, she rented it to two men who could shovel it. Does the landlady have a man who can shovel snow? Isn't that kind of mean towards women saying they have to have a man to shovel snow? Any thoughts or comments on people telling women they can't have a house because they don't have a man?

that's really sexist. plus its going back to where women pretty much have no rights.. and a woman doing that to another woman? its like she wants to be a man with more rights or something. haha
That is sexist, the lady shouldn't be prejudice against her for her sex..and you're right..does SHE have a man? Women can do just as much as men, but somepeople are too stuck on their own thinking and don't give people a chance to prove their abilities. That's only my opinion though. Others might have different views.
i don't think that is right..you can't judge it on the sex of the person. i think that the landlady should of given the house to the single mother! she can shovel snow just like men can.
Really?! I swear people say that women are treated the same as anyone else but has a man ever been refused a home because he did have a women to cook for him. I mean Women can do just about anything a man can do. I scoop snow at my house and i am perfectly capable of doing all by myself without a man.
I know that my mom is way stranger than my dad, maybe this wasn't the case with this woman, but she definitely should've received the apartment if she was willing to shovel.
