Tuesday 26th- Went over Presentation tips. Know your information and speak to the audience. Move around in your presentation to keep the audience listening to the presentation. Control the tempo of your presentation by having bullets fly in. Mr. Bruns does his top 10. Native Americans came to america because of the land bridge. Columbus was one of the many explorers who came for the new world. To the west of that line is for Spain to the east is for Portugal.
Wednesday 27th- Brazil is the only country in South America that speaks Portuguese. Left for religious freedom and also to get rid of debt are some of the reason people moved to the new world. The first 8 years of our country we had the articles of confederation. It didn’t work out so we changed to the constitution. All three branches of our government has the power to check each other and keep each other in check. In the Articles of Confederation we had like 13 small countries.
Thursday 28th- Takes people to challenge laws. 10 year of office act and lincoln's vice president goes against it. Bill of Rights are the firsts 10 in the constitution. Cussing is not free speak and it is illegal. Everyone has right to be trialed and have a jury.
Friday 29th- East boundary was the Atlantic Ocean and the Mississippi River was our boundary to the west. Texas was finally part of the US after the Texas Revolution. 1861-1865 was when the civil war started over states rights. Reconstruction is building the south and making the nation whole again. Factories were finally built in the south. Alot of corruption dominated the government after the civil war. Today the KKK is much more common in the south. Our first government failed horribly.
