music- opera, classical etc... they had to go to a musical theater or shows... later the phonograph helped music be able to listen to at home... play music by them selfs like a band in a way
Movies- Louis Amie Agustin Le Prince created the first "movie" by using pictures and adding them together like clips... was called Roundhay Carnising...
Famous people- Ulysses S grant (president)...... John Pembert (coca-cola inventor)... Thomas Edison (Inventor)... John D Rockefeller (Standard Oil).. Billy the Kid(Most wanted criminal)... Wyatt Earp(famous sheriff).... Andrew Carnegie (Carnegie Steal)
Women rights- African american business... segregation with colors... women started protesting for rights

Fads- Roller skating.. 2 person bikes (bicentennial)...
Sports- sports really starting booming in the 1880's.. tennis.. horse races.. cricket.. baseball.. boxing.. rugby...
Fashion- Bustle.. women wore hair in buns.. most people wore boots instead of shoes.. men wore nice dress suites or long sleeve shirt with vest.. little girls wore dresses from curtains and extra cloth...
Foods- common thing was pig heads and soups... food varied from 1 cent - 12 cents at a restaurant

Music- coon music(kinda racist music).. ragtime music(kinda jazzy)..
Movies- Movies started coming about .. Cinderella was one of the first and it was in french.. silent films with captions..
Sports- Baseball was most popular sport.. basketball just started.. ruby.. football started
Fashion- women was more plan.. they liked the glass body shape with big sleeves and big hats.. corsets to make them seem super skinny like the glass body shape they wanted..
