St. Paul's Lutheran church was founded by Norwegians that came from Illinois and Iowa County, Iowa on November 8, 1881. Sven Monson was one of the original 9 nine men to attend the first meeting. And now over 100 years later, he has great-great-great grandchildren attending he church.
