The statue of The Little Mermaid in Kimballton is a replica of the one located in the harbor of Copenhagen. The statue was built as a tribute to the famous Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen. The statue in Kimballton was installed in 1978. And the one in Denmark had it's 100 year anniversary in August of 2013.
