More than two dozen World War II -era fighters and bomber planes will whoosh over Washington D.C's most famous monuments

on Friday to make the 70th anniversary of the Allied Victory in Europe .Former U.S Secretary of state Madeline Albright and also

hundreds of world war II veterans are expected to attend flyover, which is also opened to the public.

The former military planes will fly in sequenced formations recounting the biggest battle of world war II,

from Pearl Harbor to the assault on Japan. The planes will fly over D.C's National Mall, from the Lincoln Memorial to the World War II Memorial

  • Victory in Europe day was a very good day for us, and it's good to celebrate that victory

  • and its one of the biggest wars in history and its going to remind us that we won it.

  • To show the respect and to remind the people of America of the WWII war.
