The U.S fined them 1.2 billion dollars for the ZTE cellphone. The reason for fining them is that they lied. The company agreed to pay the fine of 1.2 billion dollars. another reason for the fine is that they illegaly shipped phones to Iran and North Korea. America has also acussed them to stealing intellecual property and forcing companies to hand over sensitive technology.
