Tuesday, August 19th in the international airspace 135 miles east of the Chinese island Hainan, a Chinese fighter jet made three "unprofessional" and "dangerous" on a U.S. Navy plane. At one point the Chinese jet was with in 20 feet of the U.S. aircraft. This is not the first time this incident has occurred either, just days earlier another Chinese fighter jet passed the U.S's P-8 Poseiden at a 90 degree angle. The belly of the fighter jet was facing the Poseiden, therefore flashing or showing off its weapons.
What do you think the Chinese are trying to say? Why do you think they are flying so close?

I think they were trying to tell America to back off a little bit and that the US still owes them money
I think that they are trying to act threatening, but it wouldn't be smart to get into a war or something bad about it, because we are both powerful countries, and we are in debt to them.
They could just be doing this to mess around and show off how close they can get without crashing into another pilot. I really doubt it means any threat to us.

To us this wouldn't be anything to mess around with but they may take it as a joke. I do think it is a threat. I don't see how you wouldn't think of it as a threat. Now its not like a real "threat" saying that they are going to hurt us but they are saying "don't mess with us because if you do this is what we have"

This is a very dangerous move by China. As to what their trying to say, I don't have a clue. If a conflict started between us and China though, world war III would be very possible.
It would be a possibility but i would hope China would be smart enough to know that starting this war there would be no winner.
Maybe they are trying to tell us to pay off our debts or bad things will happen and I think they might fly so close so that it would get our attention.
