Subway is being sued by former pitchman's Jared Fogle's ex-wife. Katie McLaughlin is suing the for compensation for "intentional infliction of emotional distress" and stating that Subway knew Jared was a pedophile years before she married him in 2010 and kept it hidden. She says that in 2008 the CEO of Subway was notified that Jared had admitted having sex with minors and he did nothing about it because of company profits, market share and growth. Subway CEO also knew that Jared had met Katie and planned on marrying her, so he assumed Jared's pedophilia behavior would stop. He did not seek guidance from experts concerning Jared's behavior and he had a responsibility to follow up on these allegations.
Jared Fogle plead guilty to federal charges of child pornography and having sex with minors. He is serving more than 15 years in federal prison and has agreed to pay 14 of his victims $100,000 each. Katie has apologized to his victims stating she did not know about his behavior. She said she wants answers from Subway and they have a responsibility and her, her children and Jared's victims.
Subway said it would not comment on pending litigation.

They should have fired him admittedly. The subway should win the lawsuit because it was Jared's fault
I think that they should have fired him right away because that is wrong on so many levels. I don't understand why they didn't fire him right away because them not punishing him is pretty much just saying that they don't care about the children that he is doing this to. I think they will lose the lawsuit because they could have saved so many victims from this but instead they just kept it a secret.
I would have fired him right away if that were to have been reported to me. I don't understand why they didn't do it other, i think that they just did it because he must have been a good pitch man. I don't think that they will lose because of the money that they have.
Yes I do think they should have fired him when they found out about his pedophilia. He should be punished for this and I think that Subway knowing about this and still letting him keep his job is kind of showing that it is okay and that there aren't consequences for his actions. I think Subway will win the lawsuit because they have a lot more money then Jared does and I'm sure they have a very good case on him.
I would have fired him too if I were to find out for what he had done. I think that they will because of the money that they have they will not lose the case.

Yes they should have fired him. Subway will probably win the lawsuit because of how much money it has and Jared has issues that doesn't involve Subway directly.
