SpaceX Has Historic Launch and Land

After successfully completing a historic launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, SpaceX is back in action. It nearly didn't happen do to a delay that had happened over 24 hours earlier. After looking over things, the launch Sunday was perfect. It was the first launch from the Kennedy Space Center since NASA space shuttles had retired in July 2011. It was also the first launch from Florida since the Falcon 9 had exploded on September 1, 2016. On Sunday the spacecraft named Dragon was launched towards the International Space Station, while the first stage of the Falcon 9 landed without any problems. It isn't the first time SpaceX has done this but they're trying to perfect the landings so they can reuse the rockets and reduce the cost of the missions. The Dragon is packed with 5000 pounds of supply's for the International Space Station.

What do you think will happen if they complete this mission and land it safely?

Do you think that they should keep reusing the rockets?

Opinion-

I believe that if they complete the mission and land safely that they will start launching more spacecrafts more often. I think also it will spark other space stations and they will also try to launch and land spacecrafts more often. I also think that they shouldn't reuse the rockets because something could be wrong with them after using them. I think that they should try to buy new ones even though they are pretty expensive.

  • Well done!

  • It would be a great deal of success because then they could reuse rockets which would save tons of money for future missions. Also you could launch missions more quick because you wouldn't have to build a new rocket every time you want to launch. I do because they would help for the future missions that we will need rockets for.

  • I believe that if the mission is successful they will start doing a few more missions a year. I think that they would be fools if they  didn't reuse rockets because it is a lot better for the environment and probably cheaper over time.

  • It will give them a confidence boost to continue making rockets to help towards finding a way to get to mars then possibly inter-space travel. Only as much as the durability of the rockets allow since if you use them more than the durability then it'll break mid launch.

  • If they land this successfully there are going to be a lot more where that came from and there will be landings more freakwently. No, they shouldn't reuse the rockers because they could be damaged on the way up and down and they should just make new ones to make sure everything is up to date and everything works.

  • I think that more spacecrafts will probably be sent if it is successful. If they are not being sent to the International Space station, they will be sent to other stations, which could have a spiral effect, allowing more things to be sent into space. As long as they are safe and working well, I think that it is good that they are trying to reuse the rockets.

  • I believe that if the mission is successful than more shuttles will be launched more often. Also if it is successful than I think that Space travel will become popular again and allow us to be able to make even more discovery's about space. I think that as long as the rockets stay stable and undamaged, than they can be reused.

    • I agree that if it is successful then I think they would be more likely to send more spacecrafts and other people would want to get involved with it. I feel like the rockets would have a problem with them even if it may not look like it.

  • I think that if the mission is a success then this will be a good way to get resources to the International Space Station. I think that more spacecrafts could start being launched and if they do I hope that they get there safely. I do think that they should keep reusing the rockets so they can save that money and use it for better things.

  • I think if they can master resupplying the international space station safely and cost effectively reusing rockets I think our world would become a lot more involved in our solar system and there would be a lot more possibilities.
