Severe Weather Hits Southeast

So far there has been weather in the southeast that has killed two people so far in Louisiana,a 2 year old girl and her 38 year old mother after a tornado of winds around 100 to 110 blew there mobile home off the ground. tornado warnings have been issued all a crossed Georgia and will do so till 5 p.m. tonight. Already today there were so far two tornado's that have touched down but no damage has been recorded.

Questions:

1. if you lived in the area of the storms what would you do to prepare for the worst?

2. if your town was hit by a nader what would you do to help out others?

  • I would go to  the store and get food, water and other kind of essential things I need to survive during a severe crisis. I would go out and ask others if they need help or anything else that might help my community.

  • I would probably try to survive, and maybe go down into a basement. I would help out with rebuilding demolished houses.

  • I think I would definitely prepare for the worst and take as many safety precautions as possible to star safe. I would probably set up a community wide service thing to help the people in need and keep people safe.

  • 1. I would probably find a place to go for awhile . I would pack efficiently and take my family to a safer place.

    2. I would set up a community wide service thing where we hand out and give away necessities.

  • I would make sure I would have access to a safe place to go with some food and water to be safe. I feel if this happened in Halran Iowa we would come together and really help each other out.

  • I would make sure I had what I needed and was prepared. I would help out with what I could do.

  • Well I imagine I would pack up the flash lites, water bottles, and packs of Jack Links beef jerky and head down to the basement with a blanket and a pillow. I would go around calling out for people if they needed help, and if someone needed help, i would help them.

  • Since the live in this area they should expect these kind of weather conditions and should be prepared. I understand you can never be to careful because if something is suppose to happen it will happen. If our town was hit by a tornado I would hope the community would come together and help those in need.

  • To be prepared, I would go to my basement and have things down there just in case, such as food, water, etc. If I didn't have a basement, I would probably go somewhere that had a basement or something like that. I'd help others by cleaning up the the town and giving necessities to those who have lost those things.
